Kostis Michelakis has worked in micro and nanotechnology research for over 25 years, spanning a wide range of themes, from fast transistors and monolithic integrated circuits to biosensors. In recent years he has focused on the workings of micro/nanofabrication cleanrooms (infrastructure, operations, tools, processes). His aim is to help deliver quality services to users. Kostis holds an MSc in Applied Physics from the University of Crete and a PhD in Physics from the University of Athens, both in Greece. Prior to joining UBC, he had worked with FORTH (Greece), Daresbury Lab (UK), Imperial College London (UK), and the University of Surrey (UK).
