Nanofab Accelerator Program

We are pleased to announce that QMI’s Advanced Nanofabrication Facility (ANF) has just officially launched its Nanofab Accelerator Program in partnership with the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP). The program will provide eligible SMEs (small or medium-sized businesses) with specialized nanofabrication services, including but not limited to, maskless photolithography, 100kV electron-beam lithography, photonic wire-bonding and a range of processes for thin film deposition and etching.  Companies will have access to recently upgraded cleanrooms. Services will be offered on a per usage fee basis, which will include SME staff training for using the various tools, as well as professional assistance from the facility’s technical staff. IRAP will provide up to $12,000 of support per SME project, each of which will be limited to 6 months duration maximum. The program is scheduled to run through to Sept 31st 30, 2023, and during its first year will be able to accommodate only a limited number of projects. SMEs interested in taking advantage of QMI’s enhanced technical innovation capabilities for enabling faster technology deployment and commercialization in their relevant industrial sectors, are therefore being called to submit proposals by contacting Pinder Dosanjh at pinder.dosanjh@ubc.ca.
